Jennie Garitta Midolo, 96, of Wallingford, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Midolo, Sr. Jennie was born in New Haven on November 17th, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Salvatore Garitta, Sr. and Paula Laudicina Garitta. She had worked at the former Berger Brothers in New Haven. Jennie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was an avid bowler in her earlier years, loved to knit and spending time with her family She always said that as each new generation came along, they moved to the top of her list. Mother of Carmen Midolo (Barbara), Salvatore Midolo (Christine) and Joseph A. Midolo, Jr. (Lynne). Grandmother of Lisa D’Orlando (David), Elaine Horn (Michael), Shannon Queiroga (Tony), Salvatore Midolo, Jr., William Midolo and Kelly Midolo. Great-Grandmother of Cody Midolo, Ella and Joseph D’Orlando, Aubrey and Alexander Horn, Asher Queiroga. Sister of Josephine Antonucci and the late Maria “Yoli” Maresca, Anthony “Dodo”, Vito and Salvatore Garitta, Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Masonicare for the excellent care and comfort they provided.
The visiting hours will be Monday morning, August 30th from 8:30 to 10:30 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Church of the Resurrection, Wallingford at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.

Alan and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Jenny. I know she lived a wonderful life with her family and grandkids and great grandchildren I remember growing up the picnics we had while Uncle Joe and my dad building the front and back porch She had great lunches love the salad she would make with baby shrimps She will be dearly missed by all of her family Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you
