Joan Teixeira, 82, of North Haven passed peacefully on November 29th, 2020 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. A resident of North Haven her entire life, Joan is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eugene. She is also survived by son John (Cathy), of Hamden and grandsons Nicholas, Vincent and Anthony. She was a kind and thoughtful mother and grandmother who always put others first. She loved attending any sporting event of her grandsons’ and had a passion for dress making. Early years she worked at Malley’s in New Haven and then later retired from Stop and Shop in North Haven. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
A private service was held
I will always remember Joan as a sweet and caring soul with a quirky sense of humor. When she was bored with our conversation she would start singing “Tiny Bubbles”. I’ll also remember fondly the day I let her practice driving my car when she hit a mail box. She was most definitely one of a kind. Sleep well Joan. My sympathies to you all.
Didn’t know your Mom/ Grandmother but knowing all of you, she must have been a terrific person. So very sorry for your loss . We will keep you in our prayers and thoughts.
