John A. Esposito, 71, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Joanne Blakeslee Esposito. John was born in New Haven on January 31, 1952, and was the son of the late Orazio and Lillian Catania Esposito. He had worked for IUBAC Mason Union Local 1 as a mason of historical restoration and was also an instructor for many years. He had a great love for animals, nature, and bird watching. John enjoyed trips to the casino, spending time with his friends from the Morris Cove Coffee Club and Morris Cove Crew. His greatest joy was spending time with his family who he loved unconditionally. Loving father of Michael (Kimberly) Esposito, Marisa (Jonathan) Dodd, and Mark Esposito. Beloved grandfather of Owen Dodd. Brother of Richard Esposito and the late Peter Esposito. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Smilow Cancer Center for their endless care and compassion.
The visiting hours will be on Tuesday, January 16th from 6 to 8 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Haven Inc., 89 Mill Road, North Haven, CT 06473.

Dear Joanne and Family, I am so sorry for the passing of John I met John through my late Husband (Mike Wilson) they worked together at Dahill and many side jobs.We always saw him at the Red wood Flea market.My husband would yell hey moneybags .He would always give us a Big Smile.
