John A. Tully, 75, a long -time resident of Meriden, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Silver Springs Care Center, Meriden. John was born in New Haven on September 30, 1943 and was the son of the late Charles E. Tully, Sr. and Catherine Elliott Tully John had worked at the Strouse, Adler Company for many years; was a member of the Legion of Mary at St. Therese Church; was a devoted N.Y. Yankees fan and was an avid Star Trek fan. Brother of Laurajean (Robert) Vaughn, Kathryn Powell, Charles E. (Linda) Tully, Jr., and the late William E. Tully. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 11:00. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave, North Haven at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Monday morning from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NAMI, 576 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT 06105.
