John Aniello Brandi, 54, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Brenda A. Brasile Brandi. John was born in New Haven on February 7, 1963 and was the son of the late Joseph M. Brandi, Sr. and the son of Barbara Brandi & Doris Migliaro. John was a family man, who lived through his son. An avid sports fan, he loved to cook, listen to music and make others smile. Besides his wife, John is survived by his children, John Brandi and Toni (Joey) Bowyer, his grandchildren, Dylan and Madison Bowyer, brothers, Joseph Brandi, Jr., Fred Brandi, Dino (Anna) Brandi, Michael (Eileen) Brandi and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 11:00 with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:00 until time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Although I haven’t seen Johnny in a long time, he has always held a special place in my heart. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
So sorry to hear of John’s passing,I remember that unforgettable smile he always had for everyone , always so kind and funny. I’m sure he will be missed by all that knew him.

Met someone in Stop & Shop this morning who told me John had passed away. I’ve known Brenda since she was a young girl and if I’d known I would have attended his service. To the Brandi family: Sonny and I are very sorry for your loss. John was a good person and always very respectful.
