John F. Broccoli, 64, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Katherine Haggerty Broccoli. John was born in New Haven on September 22, 1953 and was the son of the late Edward V. and Nellie Caselli Broccoli. John was an Inside Sales Associate for A.D.I. – Honeywell for over twenty eight years. Father of John Broccoli (fiancé Brittany Linke), Kenneth, Thomas and Katrina Broccoli. Brother of Edward Broccoli (Patty). Son-in-law of John and Florence Haggerty. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, on Tuesday morning at 10:00. The visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family

Are hearts are so saddened with your passing you were always a blast to be with our bowling on Tuesday nights and the nights on Bradley Point. I will always remember all the fun we had at the Broc picnic and when I was younger having the old man drop me off to stay with you and your parents during the summer!! I went to grammar school with John and remember him as one of the nicest kids in the class. In my early 20s I would run into him in New Haven and we would ride the bus home together. Just a genuinely nice person with a kind soul. Sending condolences to John’s family.

John was one of my favorite “hockey” people. As a referee you couldn’t be asked to be treated any better than the way he treated me. Always a smile and a funny story. He will be missed by all.

I met Broc in the early 90s when I started as a manufacturers rep and he was always one of my favorites to work with when traveling down to Milford ADI.
I am so sorry for your loss and hope it brings you comfort knowing he is at peace now. I will be away traveling in upstate New York this week my apologies for not being able to attend his services, he will be greatly missed by everyone in his security industry family. Rest in peace john.
