Joseph Anthony Cichocki, Jr., 76, of North Haven passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Robin Ann Burgh Cichocki.  Joseph was born in New Haven on November 18, 1940; son of the late Joseph A. Cichocki, Sr. and Kazimiera Traczyk Cichocki; served his country faithfully in the US Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, 503rd Airborne Brigade and the 173rd  Airborne Brigade before his honorable discharge in 1966.  Prior to retirement in 2008, he worked for over 40 years for the Southern New England Telephone Company.  Joseph was a devoted husband and father, loved his family, animals and spending time in the outdoors of Vermont where he loved to hunt.  Father of Joseph Cichocki and Chelsea Cichocki.  Brother of Dolores Rubino and her husband James Rubino, Sr.  Son-in-law of Josephine Costa Burgh and the late Donald T. Burgh.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and dear friends.

His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Wednesday morning at 9:30.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00 am.  Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3 Landmark Square, Suite 330, Stamford, CT  06901.
