Joseph Louis Cusano Jr., husband of Teresa Romei Cusano for 57 years passed away peacefully at Masonicare Hospice on February 23, 2018. He was born on July 27, 1936 and was the son of the late Joseph and Marie Carmel Cusano. He also leaves his daughter Holly Hinesley(fiancé Gary Stockdale and son Aedan) and granddaughter Kaelyn Hinesley. All of whom he adored. He is survived by his sister Grace Cusano Festa and brother in law (John) who he loved very much. Joe is also survived by many sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews all of whom he greatly loved. His education included valedictorian of Notre Dame High School and BS at Yale University. His career path included work as a Comptroller and Treasurer of L.G. DeFelice Construction Company. He also maintained his own tax practice for over 35 years. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants and UCONN girls basketball team. He was a very active member of St. Monica’s Church for which he was awarded the Archbishop’s medal. The hours for visitation will be Tuesday February 27, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday morning February 28, 2018 at 9:30 am for a Mass of Christian burial at St. Monica’s church in Northford at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Northford Cemetery. In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made to Masonicare Hospice at 22 Masonic Avenue Wallingford, CT 06492 or St. Ambrose Parish at 30 Caputo Road, North Branford, CT 06471.
