Joseph Paul Zamlowski, 91, a resident of North Haven since 1960, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Sophie Lukaszewski Zamlowski.  Joseph was born in Hartford on July 24, 1926 and was the son of the late Frank and Frances Kopaczynski Zamlowski.  He served his country faithfully in the US Army during WW II in the 78th Lightening Division and the Korean War in the 102nd Infantry as a Sergeant Tank Commander with the 43rd Division, 70th Tank Battalion.  Joseph worked for the former Winchester Repeating Arms for ten years and later for Pratt & Whitney for 33 years retiring as a Machine Repairman.  He was a member of the American Legion-Murray/Reynolds Post #76, the North Haven and Ridge Road Senior Centers, the North Haven Historical Society, past member of the Temple Sweethearts Square Dance Club and a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, New Haven.  Father of Joseph Peter (Susan) Zamlowski, Robert Joseph (Donna) Zamlowski and Peter Steven (Angela) Zamlowski.  Grandfather of Kori and Tashina Zamlowski, Marshay (Dennis) Marcely, Maizie, Taylor and Joshua (Nadine) Zamlowski, and Jessica Zamlowski Fytros.  Great-Grandfather of Nathaniel, Daxn, Prin, Kylus, Oaklyn and Aceson.  Predeceased by his brothers Frank and John Zamlowski.

Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm and are invited to go directly to St. Stanislaus Church, 790 State Street, New Haven on Tuesday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial.  Entombment will be privately held in the All Saints Mausoleum with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ORTV Daily Mass, 15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, CT  06712-9969.
