Josephine Daniels, 91, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023.  Josephine was born on February 18, 1932 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and immigrated to America in 1955. She worked as a nanny and at Southern New England telephone company in Connecticut before beginning a decades-long career with the Knights of Columbus in New Haven. Josephine retired in 1996. In her retirement, she enjoyed tending to her garden, baking Irish soda bread for holidays, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling and went on adventurous trips with her sisters as well as trips home to Ireland to visit with family. Josephine held a passion for the arts and would share her love for movies and music with her family and friends. At family events, you could often find Josephine entertaining the children with her singing and dancing. She brought joy, love, and humor to every interaction and would light up a room with her smile.  Josephine is survived by her sisters, Patricia Bogan and Olive Poulton; her nieces and nephews whom she helped raise as her own, Margaret Maloney, Deirdre (Mark) Peterson, Sam (Denise) Daniels, and Ed (Peggy) Bogan; as well as many grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews. Josephine enriched the lives of those around her and will be missed dearly. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and devotion to her family, especially to her nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Edmund Daniels; her sisters, Margaret Burns, Mary Green, and Anne Daniels; her nephew, Michael Burns; and her brother-in-laws, James Burns, Roy Green, and Anthony Poulton.
