Joshua Eric Diamond of North Haven, CT. born January 7, 1958, passed at the age of 63.  Joshua passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.  Joshua was an avid lover of life who always wanted to experience it to the fullest with his family and friends.  Joshua was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, graduating high school and moving to Florida to start a career in 1977.  Joshua spent time in Texas and Oklahoma before moving back to the West Springfield area in 1990.  Putting himself through college, he ultimately received a Master’s degree in Computer Science while working and raising his son alone.  As a software engineer who worked with systems for the U.S. Navy, Joshua traveled the world to support various surface and subsurface platforms.  Joshua was a self-taught musician who could encourage anyone to love music as much as he did. Joshua always wanted the next experience, see the next concert, play his guitar until the sun rose, and spend time with anyone who would listen. He loved to tell jokes until you couldn’t laugh anymore and then tell another one.  Josh’s stories from all the places he traveled to furthered our love for him and how he lived. Joshua could command a room like no other, whether with conversation or music. Joshua looked to always have those around him enjoy life as much as he did.  Joshua loved his wife, son, family, and friends.  Joshua’s support of those closest to him was unmatched in his dedication and loyalty.  He could pull us all through the most challenging times, knowing what was most important to us; he could make the most of every situation to make us feel better about ourselves.  Joshua leaves behind his wife Sarah of 16 years, his son Joshua, age 33 from, Delray Beach, Florida; his sister Emma and brother in law Jim, Western, MA, his brother, Bobby, Eastern MA, his nieces, Rachel, Kristen, and Amanda, cousins, Jodi, Alex as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
