Juanita Dilan Cordova, 81, of East Hartford passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to Felipe R. Cordova. Juanita was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico on June 13, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Octavio and Amparo Latalladi Dilan. She had worked as a seamstress at the Starter Corporation in New Haven and was a loving, caring mother who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Mother of Rene (Santa) Cordova, Yvonne (Eduardo) Casquinha, Felix Cordova, Linda Cordova and Nancy (Juan) Martinez. Grandmother of Christian, Elijah, Edward, Jonathan, Felix, Jr., Sebastian and Daniel. Great-Grandmother of Violet. Sister of Ocavio Dilan and the late Angela Latalladi. We would like to thank the VITAS Hospice staff who took such loving care of our mom especially Carol her nurse, Carmen her nurse’s aide, Ethan music therapist and Debra her social worker whom where very supportive during this most difficult time.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VITAS Hospice Care of CT, 199 Park Road, Ext. Middlebury, CT 06762 .

Juanita Dilan Cordova, de 81 años, de East Hartford falleció pacíficamente el jueves 5 de octubre de 2017 en su casa con su familia a su lado. Fue la querida esposa de 57 años de Felipe R. Córdoba. Juanita nació en Patillas, Puerto Rico el 13 de junio de 1936 y fue hija del difunto Octavio y Amparo Latalladi Dilan. Ella había trabajado como costurera en la Corporación Starter en New Haven y era una madre cariñosa y cariñosa que dedicó su vida a sus hijos y nietos. Madre de René (Santa) Córdoba, Yvonne (Eduardo) Casquinha, Felix Córdova, Linda Córdova y Nancy (Juan) Martínez. Abuela de Christian, Elijah, Edward, Jonathan, Felix, Jr., Sebastian y Daniel. Bisabuela de Violeta. Hermana de Ocavio Dilan y la difunta Angela Latalladi. Quisiéramos agradecer al personal de Hospitales de VITAS que cuidó tan cariñosamente a nuestra madre, especialmente a Carol, su enfermera, Carmen, su auxiliar de enfermería, terapeuta de música Ethan y Debra, su trabajadora social, que apoyó durante este momento tan difícil.
Su procesión fúnebre saldrá de la funeraria de North Haven, 36 Washington Avenue el jueves por la mañana a las 11:00. La familia y los amigos pueden llamar de 9:30 a 11:00. Una misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará en la iglesia de San Bernabé a las 11:30. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio All Saints.
