Katherine (Kitty) DiMaria Tondalo, 86, formerly of Fallon Drive, North Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Bride Brook Health & Rehab, Niantic with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Tondalo, Sr. Kitty was born in Waterbury on October 9, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Snurponis DiMaria. Kitty had worked for the Burndy Corporation of North Haven and was a member of the Jolly Timers. Mother of Joseph L. Tondalo, Jr. (Jackie), Martin Tondalo (Susan), Vincent Tondalo, John Tondalo (Kate) and the late Cheryl A. Tondalo. Grandmother of Tia Shedrick, Martina & John Tondalo and Nicholas Onofrio. Great Grandmother of Isabella, Sophia, Alexus, Julian and Dylan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by a sister MaryAnn DiMaria.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm.

I am so glad I had the opportunity to care for your Mom. I got to meet , know & love a very special woman who adored her boys. I only wish I met her sooner. I can see her love in you boys & I am glad I was there the final 2 days reminiscing with you. She is a very special woman who will be missed by many. Heaven got another angel on 10/6/18. To John and his entire family, God Bless you Mrs T you are at peace now, we are going to miss you dearly . John and i have know each other for 45 years and not a day went by that Mrs T’s did not bring laughter to a situation. whether she was upset that John slipped and broke his foot playing football in the rain ( i had nothing to do with it) to having the entire Tondalo men show up onsite at our high school for small misunderstanding . She always had her boys back as they did hers . Again God Bless you and rest in peace

It was with a heavy heart when I read of Kitty’s passing. She was always a pleasure to be around at the Jolly Time Seniors club. She always had a beautiful smile and such a gentle heart. I am assured that heaven is even a better place now that she is there. May my friend rest in Peace. (Kitty please tell Joe I said Hi.!)
