Kenneth Patrick Burt, 83, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 56 years to Cynthia DeFrancesco Burt. Kenneth was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 2, 1938 and was the son of the late Gordon and Frances P. Molle Burt. He served his country faithfully in the US Air Force. Kenneth was a Tech Specialist for IBM for 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed woodworking, but most of all spending time with his family at his home in New Hampshire. Father of Debra Ahern, Scott Burt, and the late April Burt. Grandfather of Paige and Madison Ahern, Brian Burt. Brother of Frances “Bunny” Tenney and husband Alfred Tenney and the late James Burt and his late wife Adele.
The visiting hours will be Monday morning, Jan. 3rd from 9:00 to 11:00 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at 11:30 in All Saints Cemetery. So very sorry for your loss. I worked with Ken for many years at the Yale Computer Center and at A.D.S. when he was our IBM Technical Support Person with John Frances and Ernie DelMonico.He was always upbeat and ready to fix whatever problem we threw at him. I will miss his ready smile and unparalleled wit. He loved his family, was a professional at his job, and had a great time on the golf course. He is in our thoughts and prayers.
