Krzysztof Furman, 72, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford.  He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Elizabeth Szalaty Furman.  Krzysztof was born in Zychlin, Poland on February 12, 1950, and was the son of the late Jozef and Wanda Luszczynska Furman.  He attended the University of New Haven.  Krzysztof worked as a Printing Pressman and Graphic Designer for the former William J. Mack Company of North Haven and later for Amphenol Spectra-Strip of Hamden until his retirement.  A talented soccer player, he played professionally in Poland. Krzysztof also played for the University of New Haven and for the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Father of Eryk (Magda) Furman. Grandfather of Sophia and Alexander. Brother of Jola (Bogdan) Szalaty. Uncle of Maciek (Magda) Szalaty and Piotrek (Marta) Szalaty.  Great-Uncle of Julia, Maciek, and Leon.

The visiting hours will be Tuesday morning, Nov. 22nd from 10:00 to 11:30 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church/St. Paul VI Parish, Hamden at 12 noon.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
