Lauretta Caron, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 9, 2017 in Ocala, Florida. She was born in Burlington, Vermont on July 31, 1925. Lauretta lost her husband Laurent in 2001 after 55 years together and her son, Laurent in 2000. She is survived by her daughter Theresa, her son Robert and his wife Carolyn, and Robin, the widow of her son Laurent, a sister Angeline and brother Ernest. She has many cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives from all over. She spent her working life as a seamstress. Her hobbies included painting, sewing, and all forms of art. Her true passion after her retirement was belly dancing. Her desire to “fly” was easily accomplished through her dancing. She enjoyed life to the fullest and accomplished more than anyone could hope for . She leaves a trail of memories for all to enjoy and we will never be able to fill this void. Her final ten years was spent living with her son and daughter-in-law and it provided them with a lifetime of beautiful memories. She always was passionate with her faith and proclaimed often she was ready to “go to the lord”.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning August 23, at 10:00 to attend a graveside service.
Lauretta, you brought happiness and joy to every event we had the pleasure to share with you, Bob and Carol.
That smile just made us feel like family and your enthusiasm for life was contagious. You spread happiness, a trait not many people can claim these days.
Your zest for life will be missed but never forgotten. We should all learn the lesson of joy you taught anyone lucky enough to share your time.
Go with God, know that He will have a special place for you. We need more happiness and you will be our inspiration always.
Our condolences to your family and friends.
With Love, Kathy and Bob and family
