Liberata Botticelli Sgrignari, 93, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Northford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Cirillo Sgrignari. Liberata was born in Boville Enrica, Province of Frosinone, Italy on January 6,1925 and was the daughter of the late Domenico and Luisa Venditti Botticelli. She had worked at the former Strause-Adler Company of New Haven for many years until her retirement.  Devoted to her God and family, Liberata would walk to mass daily and enjoyed cooking, feeding and giving words of encouragement to her children and grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally.  No words can describe the love her family had for her and she will be remembered as a loving person who loved to laugh and always had such a beautiful smile.  Mother of Enrica (Maria) Cervoni and her husband Enrico, Joseph Sgrignari and the late Maria Sgrignari. Grandmother of Donna Cervoni, Vincent (Jane Callanan) Cervoni, Daniela (David Murphy) Cervoni, Christine and Nicole Sgrignari and the late Daniela Teresa Cervoni. Sister of Pietro Botticelli and the late Antonio, Giuseppe, Rocco Botticelli.   

Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning, Dec. 19th from 10:00 to 11:30 at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Ambrose Parish at St. Monica Church at 12 Noon.  Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.
