LIVIA D’ANTONIO

Livia Lucatino D’Antonio, 93, of Hamden, formerly of Brennan Street, East Haven for many years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford.  She was the beloved wife of the late Raffaele D’Antonio.  Born in Gioia Sannitica, province of Caserta, Italy on June 22nd, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rosa Troiano Lucatino. Mother of Maria (Carmen) DiMatteo, Gabriele (Carmela) D’Antonio, Anna (Michael) Troiano, Antonio (Rosemary) D’Antonio, Vincenzo (Teresa) D’Antonio, Orietta Nucolo, Olimpia D’Antonio and the late Rosa, Michelina and Filomena D’Antonio. Sister of Giuseppina (Livio) Zurlo, Lorenzo Lucatino, Giovanni (Regina) Lucatino, Enrico (Alfonsina) Lucatino and the late Marguerita (Angelo) Fiondella, Emilio, Giuseppe and Michele Lucatino. Sister-in-law of Maria, Annunziata and Michelina Lucatino, and the late Fiorigia Lucatino. Survived by 20 grandchildren and the late grandson David Troiano. Also survived by 19 great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews. Livia had worked for Tag-A-Long Handbag Factory of East Haven and Henry Richards Handbag Factory of Hamden. She enjoyed gardening, baking, playing Italian cards, listening to Italian music, but most of all spending time with her family whom she loved unconditionally.

The visiting hours will be Thursday, Sept. 21st from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church/St. Paul VI Parish, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Friday morning, Sept. 22nd at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
