Logan Pierce Testa, beloved 12-year-old son of Paul and Stephanie Testa of Woodbridge passed away peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his home with his family by his side after a long courageous battle with ependymoma brain tumors. Logan was born in New Haven on April 9, 2006. He just started 7th grade at the Amity Middle School, Bethany. Named after Marvel’s Wolverine, Logan played baseball for Beth-Wood Baseball League, enjoyed boxing, building things, drawing in his sketchbooks, going to Walt Disney World, was a WWE, Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan, also enjoyed watching all Marvel and DC Comics movies, Star Wars, baseball, football and boxing. Brother of Samantha Marion Testa, his twin Kalel Clark Testa and beloved dogs, Elle, Buster and Stella. Grandson of Lesley Testa, the late Louis F. Testa, Jr., Jolyne Gilbert (Salvatore Staiano), Robert Gilbert (Chris Manzi) and Nephew of Louis Testa III and Erica Gilbert.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge on Thursday morning at 11:00 to attend a prayer service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours. Please omit flowers and make all contributions in memory of Logan Pierce Testa to the CERN Foundation, PO Box 217, Zionsville, IN 46077. The family encourages you to wear a Wolverine shirt or something blue (Logan’s favorite color).
To say we are heartbroken for you all is an understatement. Logan is truly a hero. He is by far the GREATEST SUPERHERO that has ever lived…. his legacy will live on forever. Love you all. Xoxo

Please accept my deepest condolences. I am a stranger but many months ago Sheila Del Monaco asked me to pray for Logan. Logan touched even this stranger’s life and I am a better person because of him. We struggle to answer the question, why must children be taken? We are human beings living in a complex world. We often take for granted many moments of life. We often lack appreciation for those around us and for life itself, each of us feeling as though we will be here forever. Then a young soul comes along, with the heart and courage of a lion, perhaps having chosen the mission to remind us of how fragile and precious life is; to remind us of what is truly important in living; to remind us how to live courageously, joyfully and with appreciation even when faced with daunting obstacles, no matter what; to remind us of how fortunate we are. Logan reminded me, a complete stranger, of such things. My profound gratitude to the young lion Logan and my deep appreciation to his family, friends and to all who had the great fortune to stand with him.
