Lois Gripp Miller of North Haven passed away peacefully on December 3, 2019. Born on December 29, 1928 to the late Mildred and Lawrence Gripp, she was the wife of the late William Miller. An avid reader of theology and archeology, a lover of music and wildlife, these interests filled her time in the golden years. In the still of the morning, she quietly kept company with her favorite backyard brood of wildlife as they waited patiently for their fragile friend to appear each day, even if it was only to wave from the window. Having spent her youth growing up in Boston, the arts inspired her to pursue training in opera in her younger days. It was her only regret in life that she wasn’t able to be a part of the Met, she loved it so. But life had other plans for her, a full life, spent with family and friends, chaotic, busy, never quiet, ever complete. Lois is survived by her 5 children Cheryl (John) Scarpa, Kathleen Cacioli, Jan (Edward) Bevins, William Miller, and Michael Miller, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Per Lois’ wishes, services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to a charity of your choice or an open act of kindness to a perfect stranger. It is these special benefactions in life that truly lift the spirits of both the giver and the receiver. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
Our condolences to Jan, Eddie, Christopher and Amy, we are sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love Mary, Bill and Ashley
