Lorraine Murphy Fallon Burdge, 95, died peacefully on September 26th at the Hearth at Gardenside, Branford.  Lorraine was a resident of North Haven for 68 years and was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, Bruce L. Burdge. Lorraine was born in Naugatuck, CT on January 15, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Murphy of Naugatuck. Lorraine had a long and successful career as an elementary school teacher for 33 years.  30 of those years were spent teaching in North Haven and previously in New Haven and Branford.  Lorraine had many other interests. She loved to garden, sew and play cards. In recent years, she made and gave her beautiful flannel blankets to those she met and loved. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family, particularly with her five great grandchildren. Her love, warmth and humor will be remembered and missed by all. Lorraine leaves behind her daughter, Nancy Fallon (Michael Duffy) of Branford and son, John T. Fallon III (Adrienne Webb) of North Haven; grandchildren Kate Mascelli (Ryan) of Branford and Matthew Bergantino (Emily) of Fairfield; and five great-grandchildren: Grace Mascelli, Charlie Mascelli, Riley Mascelli, Eli Bergantino and Lily Bergantino. She is also survived by a sister, Marilyn Goudreault of Naugatuck, and several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by brothers Richard Murphy of Tennessee, Leroy Murphy of California, Clayton Murphy of Waterbury, and sister Bernice Smith of Waterbury. Lorraine was an active member of the North Haven Congregational Church for many years.  

 The visiting hours will be on Friday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 AM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave, North Haven.  A funeral service will follow in the North Haven Congregational Church at 10:30. Interment will be at the Branford Center Cemetery on Montowese Street.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to the North Haven Congregational Church, 28 Church Street, North Haven, CT 06405.
