Louie (Luis) Rivera Pellegrino, 45, of West Haven passed away at home on October 4, 2022. He was the loving husband of Aimee Rivera Pellegrino, his sweetheart of close to 30 years. He was the son of Gracie Pellegrino and the late Luis A. Rivera. Also survived by his grandmother Grace Pellegrino, mother-in-law, Barbara Gargiulo, father-in-law, Henry Gargiulo, sisters-in-law, many aunts and uncles, nieces, cousins and loving friends. He deeply loved his family from Connecticut to Florida and as far as Puerto Rico. Words cannot adequately summarize his life. Lou left us way too soon. He was adored by many. To know Lou was to love him. He was a gentle spirit with an infectious laugh and smile that was contagious to everyone. Fearlessly loyal to those he loved, if Lou was on your side, you knew you were in good hands.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Tuesday, Oct. 11th at 12 noon. Interment will be private in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help cover funeral expenses to The Rivera Pellegrino family at 104 Spruce St. West Haven, CT 06516 or through Venmo @TheRiveraPellegrinoFamily.

Rest in peace Lou. Thanks for loving Aimee for all these years. She knew you were the one since our middle school days when she wrote, I love Louie on the bathroom stall wall. Aim, my heart breaks for you. ❤️
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. Love. Uncle Vic
