So sorry for your loss. While words provide little solace, please know that my family and I are praying for your comfort in the midst of sorrow. Also know that I’ll always cherish my memories of Lou. West Haven ice cream / pool parties and the spookiest, most fun Halloween party in the basement; go kart riding in the back yard in Wallingford; playing on the two-story club house and ice rink that he built; picnics and parties; and watching him with his grandchildren (just to name a few). He will be missed.
So sad to see this, many fond memories growing up with his niece Mary…a kind and gentle soul. Debbie you and your boys are in my prayers. Rest with the angels “Uncle Louie”

I am so sorry to hear of Lou’s passing. He was a wonderful man and always made me smile
Rest In Peace my friend. You made many people happy in your too short 70 years
Debra, I am so sorry to hear of Louie’s passing. Altough we never met, my brother, Bobby Verdi, and your husband were very dear friends growing up in the Hill Section of New Haven. They used to ride the tow trucks together and have so much fun. I knew Louie and Tommy well. All the brothers were good friends of my brother but Louie was his bestie. One of the last things my brother asked before he died was to have a last conversation with his friend Louie. I remember reaching out to Louie and he did call my brother just days before my brother passed. It made my brother very happy to have that conversation with Louie. I will never forget him and what a good friend he was to my brother and how much my brother cared for Louie. No words can ever relieve the pain and sadness you and your family are feeling today but I know that Louie and my brother are riding the heavenly tow trucks together and are having so much fun like they did in times past. God rest his soul and bring peace to you and your family knowing that he is no longer suffering.
My sincere condolences to the family. May the God of all comfort give you the comfort you need to endure this difficult time and the days ahead (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)
