Louis San Marco, Jr., 96, of West Haven, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Rose Amendola San Marco for 68 years. Louis was born in New Haven on April 19, 1927 and was the son of the late Louis and Mary Fedora San Marco Sr. Father of Marilyn (Bill) Fappiano, Rosemary Caruthers, and Louis R. (Janice) San Marco. Grandfather of Alissa Ebbson, Sean (Amber) Caruthers, Daniel (Nadine) Caruthers, Mallory and Kristen San Marco. Great-grandfather of Jonathan, Audrey, Avonlea, Violet, Luna and Finnegan. Brother of the late Anthony San Marco and Louise Geraci. Also survived by his devoted caregiver William. Louis enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved unconditionally. He never once missed any of his grandchildren’s sporting events. In his youth he played many sports. He enjoyed routing for the UConn Women basketball, reading books, and tending to his vegetable garden. Before his retirement he worked as a supervisor at Sargent and Company for 45 years.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Friday morning, March 8th at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Shore Fire Department, 860 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516. The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
