Louise B. Lehr Yeager, 74, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Yeager for 41 years. Louise was born in New Haven on February 24, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Michael Adolf Lehr and Rosa Gabold Lehr.Louise obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State College. She was a math teacher at West Haven High School for over 35 years until her retirement. Louise was a member of the Harugari Singing Society and a founding member of the Harugari Schuhplattler Verein.  She played golf with the family and was a member of the Wallingford Country Club for 27 years.  She was a lifetime member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and UConn Women’s basketball fan. Louise loved tending to her garden and being Oma to her grandsons.Mother of William K. Yeager and his wife Nancy. Grandmother of Ryan and Justin Yeager. Sister of Rudolf Lehr and his wife Susan, and Martha Lehr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday morning, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 in the Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 280 Humphrey St., New Haven, CT 06511.
