Louise I. Bellemore Bruneau, 94 of Derby, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23rd, 2023 at Griffin Hospital, Derby.  She was the beloved wife of the late Edmond Bruneau.  Louise was born in New Haven on February 17th, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Keenan Bellemore.  She worked in Quality Control for the Chloride Corporation.  Louise loved crafting, gardening, knitting, enjoyed making Afghans and donating them to the Connecticut Hospice in memory of her daughter Denise. Mother of Diane (Anthony) Staffieri, Edward Bruneau, Sr., Virginia Dougan, Paul (Janice) Bruneau, Thomas (Cheryl) Bruneau and Arthur (Shelly) Bruneau. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Denise Tucker, two sons-in-law James Tucker and Gary Dougan, her grandson Edward Bruneau, Jr., and eight brothers and sisters.

The visiting hours will be Thursday morning, Dec. 28th from 10:00 to 11:30 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Paul VI Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
