Luciano “Pop” Turriccio, 98, of North Haven, formerly of Prospect Place Extension, East Haven for many years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his loving family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 69 years to the late Antoinetta Spino Turriccio who predeceased him last July 29th.  Luciano was born in Cerreto Sannita, Province of Benevento, Italy on February 7th, 1923, and was the son of the late Michele and Maria Grazia Stanziano Turriccio. He had served in the Italian Army during WW II and was a prisoner of war.  Luciano immigrated to the United States in 1948 settling in New Haven. After he and Antoinetta married in 1950, they moved Legion Avenue, New Haven and later to East Haven.  He was a member of the Connecticut Laborers Union Local #455 and had worked for the former C.W. Blakeslee Construction Company until his retirement at the age of 62.  His enjoyment was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Father of Grace DeFilippo and her husband Nickolas, Phyllis Havens and her husband Brian.  Beloved Poppy of Jennifer Havens Mineri and her husband Louis E. Mineri III, Luciano C. Havens and his wife Maria Iamunno Havens. Great-Poppy to the lights of his life Louis Edward Mineri IV, Biagio Brian Mineri, Filomena Grace Mineri, Luciano Mario Havens, Vienna Rose Mineri and Leo Brian Havens.  Predeceased by his brother Mario Turriccio. The visiting hours will be Monday, July 12th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to meet directly on Tuesday morning, July 13th at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the All Saints Mausoleum.
