Luke A. Camarota, 95, of North Haven, CT passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 23, 2018.
He is survived by his loving family, son Wayne A. Camarota of North Haven, CT, daughter Joanne (Angelo) Polzella and cherished granddaughter Emilyann Polzella of Northford, CT, daughter Rosanne (Eugene)Torrenti of Orange, CT, sister Rose Marie Davis of Branford, CT and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Angelina (Jill) Camarota, parents Joseph and Frances Camarota, and nine siblings.
Luke was born on April 20, 1922 in North Branford, CT and along with many childhood friends, joined the North Branford Fife and Drum Corp. They competed into adulthood for many years and became world champions. Luke served in the Army in WWII in the South Pacific.
He was also a very proud, over 55 year member, of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 478 and a member of the Wallingford Elks.
In retirement, he spent fun times with family and friends at Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos.
There will be a Mass Of Christian Burial celebrated on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 10am at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven, CT. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, CT.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Wayne, although Luke has passed he does live in your memories. He will be missed, but we must accept what can’t be changed.
