Lynda Joyce Edwards Pacapelli, lifelong resident of West Haven entered into eternal rest on Saturday February 26, 2022, with her family by her side. Lynda was born on September 25, 1944, in New Haven, CT. daughter of the late Morton and Josephine McGarry Edwards. She married Eugene “Yatch” Pacapelli on February 20, 1965, and they spent 57 beautiful years together. Family was everything for Lynda. Along with her husband she is survived by her children Gene and his wife Annmarie, their children Nicole, Marisa and Eugene (EJ), Gina Prisco and her husband Ken, their daughter Gabriella, Michael and his son Mikey. She leaves her brother Morton Edwards and his wife Priscilla. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews. Lynda worked as a mom raising her children. Later in life she decided to “go” to work at ADP and UHAUL among the trucks, a job she loved. She was known for her many trips to the casino. Her greatest joy was spending time watching her grandchildren play every sport imaginable. She did not miss a game. Never one to boast or brag but she was so incredibly proud of all of them.
The visiting hours will be Friday, March 4th, from 4 to 8 pm in the Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., Saturday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian Burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: WHHS Senior Scholarships for an Athletic Scholarship, 1 McDonough Plaza, West Haven, CT 06516 Attn: Dana Paredes.
A beautiful tribute to a wonderful person. I will always cherish her visits to our home in Maine and her love and concern for her cousin, Bob. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you in the coming days.

Dear Yatch, Gina, Gene and Mike and family and Mort and Priscilla and family,
There are no words that we can say to express how sorry we were in hearing of Lynda’s passing. Her and I were cousins and we spent time together as teenagers,
We used to go on double dates together if we didn’t want to go on a date alone. Fun times! Fun memories.
Try to always remember the good times and know that she is at peace now. No more pain.
Sending you all our Deepest Sympathy and Love at this sad time.

What can I say about Lynda Pacapelli? One in a million “Godmother extraordinaire”. So grateful for the 35+ year ‘catch up’ in less than a minute that she made so easy. That look at Modern Pizza was almost like we’d just been together. Wish there’d been more time. She will forever have a very special, permanent place in my heart & memories. I hope her hubby, kids & grandkids are able to find peace in the love she had for all of you. Share the happy, silly, funny stories and smile. You’re all in my heart and my thoughts Hugs, Carolann (Sid too)

Yatch, Gina and the entire family. I am so, so sorry for your loss. We had many great times together years ago that I will never forget. May she rest in peace and, from time to time, may God let her look down on the beautiful family she started. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I am very sorry for your loss.
Uncle Gene, Gene, Gina and Michael – I’m thinking about you during this sad time. Lately I’ve been remembering Auntie Lynda’s smile and laughter that always filled the room when we were kids. She never took herself too seriously and she remained a good friend to my mom, for which I am so thankful. Be gentle with yourselves and those around you as you navigate the stormy sea of grief. Hugs – Theresa (Tree)

So very sorry for your loss
WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME
When tomorrow starts without me
And I’m not here to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me
I wish you wouldn’t cry
The Way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We did not get to say
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
Each time that you think of me
I know you will miss me too
When tomorrow starts with out me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
The angel said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And That I would have to leave behind
All those I Dearly Love
But When I walked through Heaven’s Gates
I felt so much at home
When GOD looked down and smiled at me
From his golden throne
He said This Is Eternity
And All I promised you
Today for life on earth is done
But Here it starts a new
I promise no tomorrow
For today will always last
And Since each day’s the exact same way
There is no longing for the past
So When Tomorrow starts without me
Do not think we’re apart
For every time you think of me
Remember I’m right here in your heart
