Margaret Robear Harrigan, 97, of Wallingford, formerly of North Haven passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Skyview Center, Wallingford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John Harrigan. Margaret was born in Morristown, New Jersey on August 6, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice Davis Robear. Margaret enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening, was a lover of animals, but most of all spending time with her family whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Margaret (Edward) Woods and Patricia (Stephen) Jankowski. Grandmother of Alicia (Nick) Riso, Marin Woods and Jennifer (Joseph) Mesquita. Great-grandmother of Nicky and Stephen Riso, Aidan and Bryce Mesquita, Kaily DeMatteo. Predeceased by a brother Charles Robear.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Frances Cabrini Church at 11:30. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
