Margarida M. Teixeira Ferreira, 88, of North Branford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Helder Ferreira. Margarida born in Stamford on June 6, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Domingos Jose and Olinda Machado Teixeira. Mother of Helder Luis Ferreira, Carlos Ferreira and the late Maria Helena Colonna. Mother-in-law of John Colonna. Also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:30. Entombment will follow in the Saint Lawrence Mausoleum.

Will miss bobo’s laugh and smile. When she laughed , it was impossible not to smile. She brought us so much joy and happiness. Always wanted to know what her grandkids and great grandkids were up to. It was the simple things. Great conversations about the day and enjoying the moment. Not to mention you couldn’t leave without a full belly of the best homemade food and desserts!
