Maria Carmina (Carmela) Landino Izzo 90, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Thursday March 22, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to Antonio Izzo. Maria was born in Gioia Sannitica, Province of Caserta, Italy on February 11, 1928; daughter of the late Vincenzo and Erminia Cassella Landino and worked for Henry Richards Company of Hamden for 25 years until her retirement. Mother of Maria Rosa Di Meo, Enrico Izzo, Natalina (Joseph) Kalasky. Grandmother of Veronika Di Meo (Jeffrey) Frey, Tony (Mechelle) Di Meo, Maria Izzo, Erica Dzialo, Anthony Izzo. Sister of Vittorio, Pasquale and Antonio Landino, Filomena Torelli, Rosa Antonucci and the late Vincenza, Maria, Giuseppe and Michele Landino. Sister-in-law of Frank Antonucci, Rosa Landino and the late Michelina Landino and Pasquale Torelli.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 11:15. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clelian Adult Day Care, 261 Benham St., Hamden, CT 06514
