Marie T. Discepola Romano, 89, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10th, 2022 at The Central Connecticut Hospital-New Britain campus with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Joseph Romano, Sr.  Marie was born in New Haven on December 11th, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Lucy Paolillo Discepola.  She had worked on the assembly line for Echlin Manufacturing for many years.  Marie enjoyed reading, puzzles (especially word-search), cooking, baking and was known as the cookie lady to all that knew her at the Wallingford Senior Center. Loving mother of Donna (Kathleen Condon) Romano, Debra (Bernard) Young, Lucy (Thomas) Moran, Mary (Gary) Gello and the late Joseph Romano, Jr.  Grandmother of Joseph Romano III and Brian Young.  Sister of Susan Capasso, Michael Discepola, Albert Discepola, Elaine Magliulo and the late Jeanettte Turcio.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will be Monday morning, June 13th from 9:30 to 11:30 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, North Haven at 12 noon.
