Marilyn Legenhausen passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023. Marilyn was the beloved wife of her late husband Carl Legenhausen. She was born in Washington state, on November 1, 1928, to August and Anna Mueller. Soon thereafter, she and her family moved to Queens, New York where she lived for most of her life. She worked as a legal secretary, raised a family and enjoyed New York’s museums and theaters as well as knitting and crochet. She was active in the Rosary Society and in craft clubs. In 2013, she moved to Ashlar Village in Wallingford. She leaves her son Gary, and his wife Heidi, and her son Thomas, and his wife Millie. She also leaves grandchildren, Flora, Ali, David and Sara, and great grandchildren, Max and Lia.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Child Jesus Parish in Richmond Hill, New York where she was a parishioner for many years, on Friday morning, May 19th at 11:30. She will be buried next to her late husband Carl immediately following the mass in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York
