Marilyn P. Langdon, of Hamden, CT and Venice, FL, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT.  She was the beloved wife of Dr. Malcolm C. Langdon, a Hamden dentist, who pre-deceased her in 1995.  Marilyn was born in Olean, NY on March 13, 1929, daughter of the late Marvin Howard Pond and Edith Jones Pond.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University in 1951 and concluded her education in Physical Therapy at Columbia University in New York City.  During her career as a Physical Therapist, she worked for NY State Public Health, Easter Seals, Gaylord Hospital, Special Needs Center of Trumbull and the United Cerebral Palsy Association, retiring after a career spanning over 40 years.  She loved traveling with her husband and family, especially camping in the summer near the ocean or a lake.  In her retirement, Marilyn served as a Eucharistic minister for St Mark’s Episcopal Church in Venice, Florida and participated in the church’s volunteer tutoring program.  Marilyn was a life-long sister of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and enjoyed reading the Bible for inspiration. 

Marilyn leaves behind her three children, Beth L. Guido (Ken) of North Haven, CT, Scot A. Langdon (Mary) of Hudson, NH, and Craig P. Langdon (Linda) of Branford, CT.  She had four grandchildren, Abigail Langdon of NH, Emily Langdon Quismundo of NC, Kevin Langdon and Ryan Langdon of CT.  Marilyn also leaves behind her niece Wendy Pond, her nephew Brandon Pond, and longtime close friend Ann Ballantyne of Venice, FL.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Pond, his wife Nancy Pond, and her nephew, Jeffery Pond.
