Mary A. Faughnan DelVecchio, 77, of Branford passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Branford Hills Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of 49 years to Joseph L. DelVecchio. Mary was born in New Haven on May 16, 1940; daughter of the late Michael and Cathleen White Faughnan. Mother of Joseph M. (Sonya) DelVecchio and Mary K. (Dan) Biehl. Grandmother of Jacob and Morgan DelVecchio, Adam and Angelina Biehl. Great-Grandmother of Layla Morris. Sister of John (Pauline) Faughnan and Joseph E. (Claudia) Faughnan. Also survived by a special cousin Frances (Richard) Cappiello, several nieces, nephews and Misty (Mike) Morris.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth Church, 65 Burban Drive, Branford on Saturday morning, June 10th at Ten O’clock to attend a Mass of Christian burial. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be a charity of one’s choice. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
