Mary A. Hines Boltman, 82, of Wallingford, formerly of Del Avenue, North Haven, passed away Tuesday February 27, 2018. She was the wife of the late William E. Boltman, Jr. Mary was born in East Haven on October 8, 1935; daughter of the late Retired Detective Sergeant George T. Hines NHPD and Lauretta Kelley Hines. Mary was the Administrative Assistant at Saint Frances Cabrini Church in North Haven for over thirty years, served on the parish council beginning in 1975, served three terms as President of the Women’s Club and as secretary/treasurer of the bowling league from 1977-2012. In 2002, she was the first recipient of the Saint Joseph Archdiocesan Medal of Appreciation. Mother of William E. (Paula Ludlam) Boltman III of Cheshire, Linda (Timothy) Loker of Lincoln, Nebraska, Alisa Boltman Pelletier, June (Robert) Passmore and Margaret Bardelli all of Wallingford. Grandmother of Aidan Pelletier, Johnathan Passmore, Tina Gonzalez and Lori-Kay Bardelli all of Wallingford, Richard Bardelli of Alabama, and Thomas Passmore U.S. Navy. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren and twenty-nine nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Colonel George G. Hines U.S. Army, John F. and Gerald J. Hines, Lorry M. Allen, Margaret H. Evans, Katherine M. Wright, Joan F. Canning, Edna M. Lonardo and Judith Ann Hines.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, on Tuesday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini Church in North Haven at 10. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm. Our deepest condolences to all of you on the passing of your Mom, and our Aunt Mary. Some of my fondest memories were spent in your side yard at the pool sharing cousin time. Your Mom was a very special lady. Rest assured that she has now completed the cast of the family sweet Adelines, led by Uncle Jerry and his pitch pipe. She now will also be reunited with her favorite milkman, our wonderful Uncle Bill. Your families will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Mary’s passing. She was a beautiful, funny, caring woman and I will miss her dearly.
