Mary Lou Pavao, 79, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, at the Hospital of St. Mary’s, Waterbury. She was born in New Haven on September 29, 1943, to the late Edward and Rachelle (Bennett) Downs. Mary Lou worked for the town of Wallingford as a Civil Engineer for 35 years and is a graduate of the University of New Haven. In her spare time, she loved to travel, looking at the stars, camping and spending time with family. She was a big supporter of the veterans
Mary Lou is survived by her longtime companion of 40 years, Paul Vickers of Wallingford. Her two sons and daughter in law, Raymond and Sandra Pavao of S. Meriden and Paul Pavao of Burbank, CA. She is also survived by her granddaughters; Gina Pavao and Jacquelyn DiGregorio both of Meriden and four great grandchildren, (Faith, Bryson, Aiden, and Alex).

Grandma I miss you so much. All the fun times we had. Like the one time when we slept in the tent outside your house. Having sleep overs. You would always make eggs and hash browns. Your favorite room was the one filled with flowers and plants. You always had the best hugs. Your always in my heart. Love you so much. Love always Gina❤️
