Mary Mautte Murphy, 88, of North Haven, formerly of Madison passed away peacefully on Saturday September 30, 2017 at Apple Rehab, Old Saybrook with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Thomas Murphy. Mary was born in New Haven on September 12, 1929; daughter of the late Harry and Agnes Halpin Mautte and had worked as a claim supervisor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Mother of Rosemary Bialobrzeski (Stanley), Eileen Emond and Kathryn McDonnell (Kenneth) and her deceased infant son Vincent Thomas Murphy, Jr. Grandmother of Stella Geisler (Kurt), Kerry Hartley (Andrew), Sara Russell (Keith), Michael and Stephen Emond, Evan McDonnell and Carly (Olugbenga) Odesina. Also survived be 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister Agnes Tripp and brothers Harry Mautte and Carl Mautte.
Her funeral process will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Wednesday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Church of the Resurrection at 10:00. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm.
Aunt Mary will be remembered as a sweet and loving person who always had a hug and kind word for everyone.
