Mary Ruggiero Perrelli, 104, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 in Hamden. She was the beloved wife of the late John Perrelli. Mary was born in New Haven on February 15th, 1917 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Louisa Pontecorvo Ruggiero.  She had worked in the banking industry at the former First National Bank and later worked for the Albie Booth Senior Center for many years. Mary enjoyed reading and doing word-finding puzzles. She found great joy listening to her nephew Vinnie Penn’s Show on her iPad.  Mother of Jennifer Abbatello (Anthony) and Louise Drago (Bill). Grandmother of Cheryl Maher (Jack), Sandi Gilston (Rick), Michael Drago (Angela), Steven Drago.  Great-Grandmother of Lauren and Jaina Maher, Julia Gilston, Natalie and Mia Drago.  Sister of Rachel DeGennaro and the late Julia Vanacore, Tess Riccitelli, Fortunata DeNicola, Thomas and Joseph Ruggiero.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The visiting hour will be Thursday morning, March 11th from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
