Matthew John Corvi, 82, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael Campus.  Husband of Janet Fasano Corvi.  John was born in New Haven on November 28, 1938 and was the son of the late John and Roma Baldino Corvi.  He had worked at Sikorsky Aircraft early in his life, then for GANT Shirtmakers and later in sales for Simkin’s Industries for many years.  John was a member of The Gents and St. Andrew’s Society.  He was an avid classic car collector, sports fan and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting event.  John’s greatest joy was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren who he loved unconditionally.  Father of Stacey (Mike) Anquillare.  Grandfather of Michael and Alexandra Anquillare.  Also survived by his brother Salvatore (Marion) Corvi and his sister Joanne (Edward) Surato.    

Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven to attend at Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, June 9th at 10AM and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. (mask’s and social distancing required in church).
