Maureen Manchester Andersen, 97, North Haven, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Masonicare Health Care, Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Russell R. Andersen. Maureen was born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 28, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Frederick E. and Anne Raftery Manchester. She was a member of the New Haven Wives of Rotarian and the P.E.O. Mother of Karen A. DeLauro (Robert). Grandmother of Alison (James) Gontarz. Great-Grandmother of Ash and Oliver Gontarz. Predeceased by her brother Robert F. Manchester. Maureen’s family would like to give a very special thank you to the staff of Wooster 2 at the Masonicare for the love, caring and exceptional care they provided Maureen the past four years. The warmth and empathy shown was beyond reproach and made the journey manageable. A special thanks is also extended to the Hospice Department.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at Saint Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Saturday morning, February 15th at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonicare, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, CT 06492
