Michael Alfred Basilicato, 86 of North Haven, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday December 22, 2023.  He was the son of Felice and Emanuele Basilicato.  Born in New Haven on February 8, 1937.  He had worked as an auto mechanic for many years at Humphrey Motors in New Haven, Connecticut.  He was the husband of the late Anna Rose Parillo Basilicato.  He was always passionate about helping others. In his spare time, he always enjoyed working in the yard or in his garage. He also enjoyed being a part of the St. Patrick’s Neighborhood Reunion. Michael used to like to go bowling. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He is survived by his daughter Michele Basilicato of North Haven, Son Michael Basilicato (Nisa) of Seattle Washington and daughter Melissa Basilicato Reardon (Dan) of New Boston New Hampshire.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Conor and Brennan Reardon and Nico and Isabella Basilicato.  He is the brother of the late Dominic Basilicato (Madaline). Mary Carraciolo (Domenico), Felice Basilicato (Patty),and Stephen Basilicato (Jean).  He is survived by his sisters Catherine Basilicato, Louise Depoto (Andy), and Theresa Basilicato. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws Diane Striby (Kenneth), and Evelyn Parillo (Anthony).

The visiting hours will be Wednesday, Jan. 3rd from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Thursday morning, Jan. 4th at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Yale New Haven Hospice https://www.givetoynhh.org.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
