Michael Anthony Lanouette, 64, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2023 at the Houston Methodist Hospital, Texas with his loving family by his side.  He was the beloved husband of 29 years to Angel Conte Lanouette.  They were together 40 years since Angel was 19 years old true soul mates in life.  Michael was born in New Haven on November 9, 1958 and was the son of Regina Lanouette and the late Edward J. Lanouette, Jr. and the late Lucille G. Ardolino Lanouette.  A graduate of West Haven High School, Michael was a dedicated and loyal supervisor at the FJ Dahill Company, Inc. for the past 45 years. In 2003, Michael became the Co-owner of Dahill Energy Systems. He also was a proud business owner of Art’s French Fries, The Dough House, and World’s Best Sundae, attending fairs since 1990. He enjoyed taking long walks in the neighborhood, was an avid reader, and was a big believer in the power of conversation. Michael enjoyed spending many family vacations at his favorite place, Walt Disney World, in Florida. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Paul VI Parish/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden where he served on the parish council. His faith in God was unwavering, and he drew on that source of strength his entire life. Michael was the epitome of a family man. His family was his world, and he made that evident throughout his life. He put everyone before himself and never thought twice about it. Michael will forever be known as the kindest, generous, most loving man who touched the lives of many. His most virtuous quality was his humility, he gave without pause and that was his gift to humanity throughout his life. Father of Alexa Lacamera (David), Ariana Cantafio (Robert) and Michael Anthony Lanouette II.  Grandpa of Robbie Cantafio and Adah Lacamera.  Brother of Edward J. Lanouette IV (Christine) and the late Edward J. Lanouette III. Uncle to Anthony Conte. Also survived by his faithful companion, his Chocolate Lab Ghirardelli “Gigi” Lanouette.  Michael was also a faithful sponsor for two boys, Abdoulie from Gambia and Abdul from Sierra Lenone whom he kept in close contact with. Michael touched the lives of many, he will be missed and live on in our hearts always.

Family and friends may call at St. Paul VI Parish/Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Saturday morning, June 10th from 10:30 to 11:30.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM.
