Michael C. Cassella, 85, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Angela Armieri Cassella. Michael was born in Hamden on June 30, 1931; son of the late Giuseppe and Antonietta DiRienzo Cassella; was the owner/operator of Mike’s Barber Shop of Clinton for many years until his retirement; was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus/John Barry Assembly; was an active parishioner of St. Anthony Church, New Haven and enjoyed traveling. Father of Roseanna Tufano and her husband Louis G. Tufano. Grandfather of Carissa Tufano and her fiancé Jason Bittiger, Brett Tufano and his wife Jennifer. Brother of Angie Consiglio and the late Frank, Carmel, Mary, Pat, Jerry, Tony, Ralph, John, Jim, Margaret, Joe and Susan.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Saturday morning, July 1st at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday, June 30th from 4 to 8 pm. Mike will be missed immensely. It was such an honor to share the Italian mass at St. Anthony’s Church each Sunday. Please accept our deepest sympathy.
Such a nice , gentle man who we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with when we came to CT. Our family sends it heartfelt condolences and be assured he is at rest with his loved ones in heaven.
