Michael J. Blair, 70, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 27 years to Darla Allshouse Blair. Michael was born in New Haven on April 1, 1947 and was the son of the late Philip A. and Catherine H. Coady Blair. He was a carpenter by trade; an avid sportsman and outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and especially clamming; was a member of the Guilford Sportsmen Association and was a skeet shooter winning many awards. Devoted father of Kenneth John Blair and Catherine Mary Blair. Step-Father of Charles (Jeanne) Dippold Jr., Wendy (Ray) Lanford and Kimberly (Manuel) Diaz. Grandfather of Stella, Darla, Joseph, Gabrielle, Charles and Michaela. Brother of Philip Blair, Lawrence (Barbara) Blair and the late Kenneth J. Blair. Also survived by four great grandchildren and many great friends.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Friday morning at 11:00. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 127 Washington Avenue #9, North Haven, CT 06473

It is so sad to hear of Michaels passing, He was a good man, Funny, and hardworking, and honest. He always had such good stories to tell. He will be missed by everyone, whose life that he touched. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
