Michele Landino, 86, of Northford passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Rosina Antonucci Landino. Michele was born in Gioia Sannitica Province of Caserta, Italy on May 11, 1930; son of the late Vincenzo and Erminia Cassella Landino and had worked for Platt and LaBonia Company of North Haven for 21 years until his retirement. Father of Vincenzo (Maria) Landino, Mario (Laura) Landino and Michael (Pina) Landino. Grandfather of Vincenzo, Roberto, Marcella, Luca and Marco. Brother of Carmela Izzo, Filomena Torelli, Rosina Antonucci, Giuseppe, Antonio, Vittorio, Pasquale Landino and the late Vincenza and Maria Landino.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Wednesday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Monica Church at 11:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.

Although we don’t know each other, I believe we are related. My Landino family came from Gioia Sannitica in Casserta too. My grandfather came to the US in the 1890’s before Ellis Island.
