Myles Allen Melillo, 66, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael Campus with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on October 21, 1955, he was the son of the late Angelo and Josephine R. Meneo Melillo. Myles worked as an IT Field Engineer for 45 years. During the 4 generations of company take overs, he won numerous awards for his excellent service and retained his position at Oracle up until his death. He was a 1973 North Haven High School graduate, a member of the Tomahawk Club of North Haven, and attended Milford Academy for one year where he continued playing football before obtaining his certification at the New Haven school of Electronics. He enjoyed Formula 1 Racing, loved Ferrari’s, and was a Dallas Cowboys and New York Rangers fan. Myles was also known for being one of the only cousins who was taught the Meneo family tradition of hand tying palm crosses during the Lenten season and giving them to family and friends. He is survived by siblings Douglas S. Melillo and his wife Joan, Audrey D. Melillo, Raymond J. Melillo, Darlene L. Melillo, his four-legged, furry pals, Stormy and Zoey, and his companion of 42 years, Patricia McCusker.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden on Tuesday morning, Nov. 30th at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. At the family’s request, masks are required for all services. My memories of Myles are many, all about a kind and multitalented man. He serviced my computer whenever needed, and on other occasions was the consummate host. He, along with his devoted partner Pat, enjoyed having company especially at Halloween time. Although it saddens me that Myles spent his final days battling illness, my memories of him will be of happier times with Pat and with those he cared about the most.
It is with great sorrow to hear of Cousin Myles passing. My thoughts are with you today and in the days ahead as you remember your precious brother with treasured memories.
Very sorry for your loss. Miles was a special person.

My heart goes out to the whole Melillo family, as Myles was such an big part of traditions and gatherings. My very fond memories of them all stem back to NHHS days when he was a gracious host to many a wonderful night! Myles you will always be remembered in my heart as well as a special angel in Heaven.
