Nancy Hague Verneris, 91, a lifelong resident of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15th, 2021, after a short stay at the Madison House.  She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Raymond R. Verneris. Nancy was born in New Haven on April 17, 1930 and was the daughter of the late John A. and Rosa A. Doerrer Hague.   She is survived by five daughters that loved her deeply and will miss her dearly, Suzanne M. Sharron, Lisa Ayers (Raymond), Marcia R. Vaiuso (David), Betsy MacNeil (Bruce) and Barbara Ingari (James), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy leaves a sister Margery Roy and companion Ron Archer.  Predeceased by a brother, Charles Hague and his wife Vilma, and a very dear aunt Marion Dorrer. A graduate of Commercial High School and had two years of Business College, Nancy worked for many years at the Yale Alumni Fund, Ridgeview Pharmacy and Spring Glen Pharmacy. She grew up in Hamden while raising her five daughters, was a devoted catholic and was a long-time member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She enjoyed spending her summers in Jamestown, Rhode Island and winters in Naples, Florida.  Nancy lived a long, happy, and beautiful life surrounded by family and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden on Tuesday morning, Oct. 19th at 11:00. (Masks strictly required for church service per order of the Mayor of Hamden) Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at a later date.
