Norma C. Rienzo Gagliardi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 9th encircled by her family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Michael D. Gagliardi (1979).  She was the daughter of the late Angelo Rienzo and Amalia Cirrone Rienzo. Norma was born in New Haven on April 27th, 1929, and later resided in their beautiful home in North haven.  She is survived by two daughters, Lynda Brookman (Thomas) and Ronnyann Massa (Philip).  She was the grandmother to Jessica Brookman, Rachel Brookman-Duronsolet (Joe), Michael Brookman, James Brookman (Erica), and Joseph and Gianna Massa.  She was great-grandmother to Leonardo, Noah, Nora Rae, Giulianna, and Faeryn. She is also survived by her sister Josephine Pascucelli and was predeceased by her sister Alma Barrows and brothers Ralph and Eugene Rienzo. She had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great-nephews. She was a graduate of Commercial High School in New Haven. Norma loved to go to work and one of her favorite jobs was working for the AC Gilbert Company in New Haven, where she was crowned Ms AC Gilbert! She also worked at Nutmeg Chemical Company in New Haven.  Norma loved animals and had many dogs and cats in her lifetime.  She drove a 1983 thunderbird which was her pride and joy.  She md the best eggplant parmesan ever.  Norma always talked about her vacation time on the boardwalk in Altantic City.  Her favorite song was under the Boardwalk by the Drifters, she loved Tuesday nights on the North Haven Green listening to music under the stars, dancing, and always ordering a giant baked potato to snack on while she was there. Our family would like to thank all the nurses and aids at The Regency House, Deneane, Leeza, Yolanda, Barbara, Katie, Ruthie, Grace, April, and everyone else on Star Unit for persevering through such a difficult time this past year, you have our utmost respect.  We would also like to thank the staff of Hospice, who made Norma comfortable when she needed it the most. 

Family and friends may call on Saturday morning, May 8th, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:30 at the Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will follow at 10:30 in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
